伝統にとらわれない、新しい砥部焼

砥部焼とは、愛媛県砥部町を中心に作られる陶磁器です。厚手の白磁に、呉須と呼ばれる薄い藍色の絵具で書いた絵が多く、唐草や草花紋などが特徴です。すこし屋さんは窯主の松田さんが立ち上げた窯元で、20年以上手作りにこだわりながら制作しています。持つと手になじむ形や、心がほっこりする絵柄が人気です。"ブラウンフラワーシリーズ"は椿の花をアレンジして、落ち着きのある茶色の絵具で手描きした、大人っぽい上品なデザインが魅力です。
